Solar Sales Representative
Position Overview:
West Coast Solar Inc., Solar Sales Representatives strive to exceed customer expectations and build strong relationships with home owners. They are provided with set appointments and they effectively follow-up with customers, address customer’s questions and concerns and are able to close deals with home owners and businesses to be successful.
We take a consultative approach to educating customers on the growing solar/clean energy industry. This position requires tact, adaptability, confidence, and a high degree of customer service and professionalism. Experience with solar installation, design, or sales preferred (though not required because we offer training).
Duties:
· Sales of residential and commercial PV and Thermal Solar Electric Systems.
· Closing deals and signing contracts at client homes.
· Generating project proposals/quotes for customers.
· Analysis of customer’s current and projected electrical usage, rooftop layouts, and financial return on investment.
· Guide potential customers to discover their needs and offer the best solution to fulfill those needs.
· Must have a clear understanding of contract agreements and be able to explain and review agreements with customers.
· Communicating with project and design team throughout job completion.
· Track all activities, from initial appointment development through close and fulfillment.
· Enter verbal and documented information with customer into company database.
· Customer follow-up by investigating problems; developing solutions; via phone and/or e-mail, when appropriate.
· Maintain contact and build lasting relationships with customers.
Skills/Qualifications:
· Meeting Sales Goals, Closing Skills, Prospecting Skills, Negotiation, Self-Confidence, Product Knowledge, Presentation Skills, and Motivation for Sales.
· Good negotiation skills and must be innovative and persuasive.
· Good networking skills and be able to deal with wide variety of customers.
· Experience with solar installation, design, or sales preferred (though not required because we offer training).
· Proven ability to build and develop business relationships.
· Proficiency with Internet, Microsoft Office and basic Excel. CRM experience a plus.
· Communication and customer service skills and experience.
Compensation:
This is a position based on D.O.E. plus commission.
